Bitcoin ETFs snap a two-day outflow streak with $110 million, all of it into BlackRock's IBIT, while ether funds lose $88.6 million
US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a net inflow of $110.34 million on Monday, ending a two-session run of outflows, according to SoSoValue data reported by TokenPost. BlackRock's IBIT took in all of it: it was the only one of the 12 funds to post an inflow, the data show.
The turn follows heavy selling. TokenPost reported a net outflow of $137.94 million on October 23, and 99Bitcoins put the October 22 outflow at $635.5 million, which adds to about $773 million over the two days. Monday's trading volume across the funds was $1.86 billion, with IBIT at $1.38 billion, per SoSoValue.
Ether funds moved the other way. Crypto Briefing reported net outflows of about $88.6 million from spot ether ETFs on Monday, led by BlackRock's ETHA.
The bitcoin funds hold about $102.84 billion, roughly 6.41% of bitcoin's market capitalization, with cumulative net inflows of $57.29 billion, SoSoValue shows. Bitcoin traded near $79,700 on Tuesday, 99Bitcoins reported, as markets waited for the Federal Reserve's decision on Wednesday. One day of inflows does not reverse two sessions of heavy outflows; Tuesday's numbers, due Wednesday, will show whether buyers return.
