SpaceX's bitcoin pile is worth $1.57 billion, up $475 million in a quarter, as Musk's company posts $14.6 billion in revenue and a $4.4 billion profit

Elon Musk's rocket company is also a large corporate bitcoin holder, and Tuesday's results showed what a quarter of rising prices did to that position. SpaceX's third-quarter balance sheet lists $1.573 billion of digital assets as of September 30, Bitcoin.com News and BigGo Finance reported; that is up about $475 million from $1.098 billion at the end of June, per BigGo Finance and TheStreet. It is still about $64 million below the $1.637 billion value at the end of 2025, and the cash flow statement records an unrealized loss of that size for the first nine months of the year, per Bitcoin.com News.
The release does not say the word bitcoin, and it gives no coin count. Earlier filings put the stash at 18,712 BTC, acquired for about $661 million, and Arkham Intelligence tracks the same amount, mostly held with Coinbase Prime, Bitcoin.com News and TheStreet reported. The quarter's materials give no indication of a purchase or a sale, Bitcoin.com News reported, which leaves price moves to explain the change. Dividing the reported value by that coin count gives an implied value of roughly $84,000 a coin.
The bitcoin is small next to the business. SpaceX reported revenue of about $14.6 billion, up 161% from a year earlier, net income of about $4.4 billion against a loss of about $1.1 billion in the same quarter of 2025, and capital spending of about $19.6 billion, most of it on its Super Intelligence division, per Bitcoin.com News and FinanceFeeds. The stock closed at $147.79 and rose about 5% to 7% in after-hours trading, per The Motley Fool and FinanceFeeds. Tesla, Musk's other public company, holds 11,509 BTC, TheStreet noted.
