How do you withdraw from Polymarket?

To withdraw from Polymarket you send your balance from Portfolio to a wallet address, picking the token and network. Polymarket charges no withdrawal fee.

To withdraw from Polymarket, you open your Portfolio, choose Withdraw, enter a destination wallet address, pick the token, amount and network, and confirm. The funds are sent on-chain to that address. This guide covers the global crypto platform as of October 2026; how the site works and its legal status are covered in what are prediction markets.

How does Polymarket pay out?

Each market share is worth either $1 or nothing at the end. Polymarket's documentation says that when a market resolves, trading stops, each winning share can be redeemed for 1 pUSD and losing shares become worthless. Redeeming moves the winnings into your cash balance. The docs say there is no deadline to redeem.

Most markets are settled through the UMA oracle. Someone proposes the result and posts a bond, and if nobody disputes it within a 2-hour window the market resolves. A disputed result goes to a vote by UMA token holders and takes roughly 4 to 6 days in total. You can also sell shares before resolution to get cash back earlier, at whatever price the market offers.

How does Polymarket withdrawal work?

Your Polymarket balance is held as pUSD on Polygon. According to the developer docs, a withdrawal can go out as pUSD itself, or be converted to native USDC on Polygon or bridged to other networks. The docs name Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Solana, Bitcoin and Tron as destination types, with supported tokens listed separately.

Polymarket says it charges no withdrawal fee, but network and swap costs can still reduce what arrives. The conversion runs through a trading pool on Polygon, and if that pool is short of USDC the docs suggest splitting the withdrawal or waiting. For amounts over $50,000 they suggest splitting it up or using a third-party bridge, explained in how to bridge crypto.

Can you withdraw USDC from Polymarket to an exchange?

Yes, if the exchange accepts that token on that network. The docs warn that some exchanges no longer accept pUSD deposits, which is a reason people convert to USDC first. Matching the token and network to what the receiving account supports matters, because a deposit on the wrong network may not arrive; see what happens if you send crypto to the wrong address. Once the USDC reaches an exchange, cashing out to a bank works as described in how to convert USDC to USD.

Why can't I withdraw from Polymarket?

Common reasons include a market that has not resolved yet, winnings that have not been redeemed, or a depleted conversion pool. Location matters too. Polymarket blocks some regions completely and puts many others, including the US and UK, in close-only mode, where existing positions can be closed but new ones cannot be opened. Its restrictions page does not spell out withdrawal rules for each region, so the help center is the place to check.

Rules differ by country and change often. Check the regulator or a qualified professional for your own situation.
