How to buy BNB, step by step
To buy BNB you use an exchange or a wallet app that sells it, verify your identity, pay, and then keep it on the platform or withdraw on BNB Smart Chain.
Learning how to buy BNB follows the same pattern as most coins: pick a platform, open and verify an account, fund it, place the order, and decide where to keep the coins. BNB is the native coin of BNB Chain, explained in our guide on what BNB is. This guide describes the process only and is not a recommendation to buy BNB.
How do you buy BNB on Binance?
Binance's own guide sets out the steps. You sign up with an email and phone number, then complete identity verification, which Binance says unlocks higher limits. Payment options listed include debit and credit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay, peer-to-peer (P2P) trading, converting another crypto you hold, and placing a market or limit order on the spot market. What you can use depends on your country.
In P2P trading, you buy from another user. Binance holds the seller's coins in escrow while you pay by a method such as bank transfer, then releases them once the seller confirms payment.
Binance and Binance.US are separate companies with different coverage. See the difference between Binance and Binance.US before choosing one.
Can you buy BNB on Coinbase?
Coinbase added BNB to its listing roadmap in October 2025, its first sign of support for Binance's token. As of October 2026, Coinbase's BNB page says the coin is available on its exchange. The process there is the usual one: verified account, linked payment method, then a buy order. Availability can still vary by region, so check the asset page in your own account.
How do you buy BNB in Trust Wallet?
Trust Wallet is a self-custody app, so purchases go through third-party payment partners rather than Trust Wallet itself. According to its guide, you open or import a wallet, tap Buy, choose BNB and an amount, then pick a provider and payment method, such as a card or bank transfer. Fees are set by the provider and vary by method and location. Each provider runs its own checks, which can include identity verification.
Which network should you use for BNB?
BNB Chain shut down its original BNB Beacon Chain on November 19, 2024, and asked holders to move older BEP-2 assets to BNB Smart Chain. When you withdraw BNB from an exchange today, the native network is BNB Smart Chain. Coinbase's page also lists an Ethereum version of BNB with its own contract address. The network you pick must match the receiving wallet. A mismatch can mean lost funds, so test with a small amount if you are unsure.
